Hassan Enesi, former Captain of Kada Stars of Kaduna has joined Kano Pillars basketball team of Kano after a four-year career with the club.
Enesi, who plays in the forward position told newsmen on Monday in Kaduna that joining Kano Pillars is a dream come true for him.
He said “I am going to miss everybody at Kada Stars, but since I am going to a highly experienced team to compete, it is a dream come true for me.”
Enesi, captain of Kada Stars for three seasons, said his performance during the last Kwese Basketball season must have impressed the coaches of Kano Pillars.
“I feel excited going to play in the best club in the country.
“I always dream of being at the top of my career by playing in a bigger team.
“I thank the coach for giving me the opportunity to play in a big team, because Kano Pillars is actually the best team in the country at the moment.
“I know this is the beginning of a good career for me because I want to play for the country in both national and international matches.”
He said in spite of the seemingly difficult task in adjusting to his new environment, he would relish the opportunity of playing with experienced team mates.
“I know it’s not easy for me because some of the players are experienced both national and international for me to cope I have to work extra hard to fit in,” he added.
He appreciated the management, coaches and players of Kada Stars and urged them to make it lucrative for other players to join the team.
“I learnt a lot while in Kada Stars, but have to leave for a better club,’’ he added.
