Bauchi People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial aspirant and former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed is now the governorship flag-bearer of the party to the 2019 general elections.
The former minister was at the early hours of Monday morning declared winner of the PDP primaries started last night at the party’s secretariat along ‘Yan-doka road in Bauchi where he outweight three other aspirants.
The floored aspirants were the former Senate Leader, Abdul Ahmed Ningi and Adamu Ibrahim Gumba who were both senators during the Jonathan administration
The chairman, PDP electoral Panel of the primaries in Bauchi, Chief Dan Orbih said that Bala Mohammed scored 1,335 votes to emerge winner, while Ningi and Gumba got 802 and 15 votes respectively.
Chief Dan Orbih noted that only 32 invalid votes was recorded during the election.
According to the panel chairman, the primary election was free, fair, peaceful and in tandem with the PDP constitution.
He therefore urged PDP members to remain loyal to the party and also work hard to reclaim Bauchi state in the 2019 election
