The Executive Africa Director of Christ For All Nation (CFAN), Rev. John Darku, has charged pastors and leaders of religious bodies in Cross River State, to pay more attention on how to win souls for Christ than on material rewards.
Darku gave the charge in a meeting pastors and church leaders in Calabar on the progress so far made in preparation to the Calabar 2018 Great Gospel Crusade and Fire Conference slated for February 15-18.
According to him, ” the choice of Calabar is not of man”, but there ID God’s hand. The power of God will visit the land and the people”.
He said ” this is not the time to fight over earthly things. We need to unite to be able to fight the kingdom of Satan. There shall be great transformation in Calabar as well as the upliftment of the entire country”.
Darku said that the sixth Reinhard Bonke crusade is very unique in Calabar as it is the first time the “Fire Conference” shall he held here.
Stating the obvious, he said, “there are many who have not received or accepted Christ as their Saviour in this state. We need to get them converted”.
Calabar, he added, “is in in he heart of Jesus Christ. The crusade is going to lift up so many people who are discouraged. It will restore the hope of many because there is a special reason for which the crusade is using Cross River for the sixth consecutive times”.
He stated that ” there has never been a country where the crusade has held for sixth times except Nigeria nay Calabar. It is to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ”.
He said the good leadership in the various churches in Calabar is highly commendable.
Earlier, the chairman of central working committee Rev.(Dr).Lawrence Ekwok, said arrangements have been concluded towards the hosting of the Calabar 2018 Gospel Crusade.
He commended the leaders and members of various subcommittees for a job well done and urged them step up their zeal and commitment before the date of the crusade.
Earlier, the chairman, Board of Advisers for the crusade,.Rev.(Dr.) Nick Ezeh, said “Cross River is blessed for having the crusade hosted for the sixth times.
“The grace of God that brings salvation has brought the crusade here again. We need sacrifice to make it succeed”.
Prayers and songs were offered to praise the name of our Living God at the venue of the meeting Christ for the World Church Edim Otop branch, Calabar.
