Falana To Preside Over IPC’S Media Tweet Conference & Dialogue On Anti-Corruption

Femi Falana, Lagos Lawyer and Human Rights Activist will preside at The International Press Centres’ (IPC), Lagos-Nigeria fifth and final media (tweet) conference and dialogue series under its Media and Transparency Watch Project today Thursday December 15, 2016.

The Objective of the event is to promote media and public dialogue on the imperative of transparency, accountability and anti-corruption for good governance in Nigeria and as well enrich the content of media reports on transparency issues, among others.

The event will also feature Speakers and presentations which will include:  Mac Malachy, President of Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CDHR); Transparency in Nigeria:Reviewing the frameworks for sustainable anti-corruption campaign; Mr. Samin Amaddin, Head of Public Affairs of Lagos office of EFCC: Fight against Corruption: What the public and the media should know and Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, Editor of The Nation :Media role in anti-corruption fight: Limitations, challenges and prospects.

Participants at the event will also include reporters and editors, other media professionals, civil society activists and academics. Being a tweet conference, there will also be followers online through twitter, facebook and other social media channels with hashtag #Media4T, astatement by Stella Nwofia, Program Officer said.
