The house leader of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Legislative Council, Honourable Garba Mudi Kuidawa has said that good understanding between the executive and legislative arms is a key to democratic progress in all the three tiers of government.
He stated this in an interview with our correspondent in Kano, adding that in a democratic dispensation, institutional co-operation between the executive and legislative arms is an important factor that brings rapid development to the electorates because every side has it’s own merit constitutionally
Honourable Garba Mudi lamented that without due co-operation, there will be no development in any country that practices democratic system of government.
He commended the Nigerian Legislature for their usual co-operation and effectiveness in discharging their constitutional duties as parliamentary arm.
Similarly, the house leader said that Nigeria is now becoming a trusted nation under president Muhammadu Buhari, he therefore, called on the entire people of this great country to supports Buhari’s re-election bid for more resourcefull leadership as seen at present.
Commenting on the Ganduje administration, Honourable Garba Mudi Kuidawa discloses that kano is now developing like other developed states of Nigeria because governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is trying his best to makes the state an examplary place to live with excellent infrastructural facilities at both rural and urban areas.
The house leader thanked the executive chairman of Dawakin Tofa local government council, Alhaji Ado Tambai Kwa, the executive council and the staff of the local government for following the footsteps of governor Ganduje in transforming Dawakin Tofa towards a better area despite the economic challenges facing local governments in Nigeria.
In conclusion, Honourable Garba Mudi assured that the legislative council under his leadership would continue to co-operate with the executive arm of the local government for more development and peacefull co-existence between the two sides.
