Emir Urges Subjects To Emulate Baba-Ahmed To Establish Media In The Emirate

The Emir of Zazzau Alhaji Shehu Idris his called on sons and daughters of Zazzau emirate to follow suit by setting up a radio station in Zaria as Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed did.
Emir Idris made the call when staff of DITV/ALHERI Radio Zaria led by Manager Mahmoud Abdullahi Barwa paid him a courtesy visit in his palace Monday.
He said, the establishment of Alheri radio in Zaria has added value in  information dissemination and enlightened the communities on government policies and programmes.
Alhaji Shehu Idris  assured the staff of the radio of his and the emirate full support towards achieving the desired objective that set up the station in Zaria.
He congratulated the entire staff of the radio station for sustaining their programmes since its existence two years ago.
The Emir advised them to continue with what they are doing and maintain the media ethics.
Earlier in his remarks, the station Manager Mahmood Abdullahi Barwa told the Emir tha they were in the palace to pay homage and to say thank you to his Highness for the support and fatherly advised they are enjoying from the emirate.
Barwa said the station is clocking two years in operations and it attracted very large listeners in Zazzau emirate and beyond.
He congratulate His Highness for the 42 years on throne as the Emir of Zazzau and the eighteenth Fulani Emir.
