El-Rufai suspends all Water Board Mgt, approves N5M for bail-out

Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-rufai has suspended the entire management of the State Water Board with immediate effect.
This was contained in a statement on signed by the Commissioner, Ministry of Water Resources, Engineer Suleiman Aliyu Lere.
According to the statement, the Governor directed the Commissioner to institute an investigation into the financial operations of the Board.
The Governor however approved the immediate release of the sum of five-hundred million naira as a bail-out to the Water Board for the payments of salaries, wages and other allocations of the staff for the months of January to December 2014 and purchase of chemicals for the use by the Board.
