Oyo State governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC)  in the March, 9 elections, Engr. Akinwale Laosun on Friday congratulated the Christians on the successful completion of this year’s  Lenten season and for witnessing another Easter celebration.

Engineer Laosun in a statement personally signed by him made available to newsmen in Ibadan, tasked Christians to emulate the virtues of sacrificial nature of Jesus Christ who laid down His life for the salvation of mankind.

The AAC governorship candidate however  enjoined the people of Oyo state to show love towards one another and be ready to work for the peaceful mutual co-existence of the fellow mankind and the state as a whole.

While advising the people of the state particularly the Christians  not to be carried away with the Easter festivities, Engineer Laosun  charged them to also use the period to offer thanksgiving prayers to God for the successful conduct of the general election while also praying for the peace, development and prosperity of the state as it prepares for the May 29 change of leadership baton.

Congratulating the outgoing State Governor Abiola Ajimobi on the successful completion of his eight years tenure as the states helmsman, Engr Laosun also congratulates the Governor-Elect, Engr Seyi Makinde on his victory at the polls.

The AAC governorship candidate then charged  the Governor-Elect, to as a matter of importance to remember all his campaign promises and ensures they are fulfilled in order to ensure that the people who entrusted him with their votes are not disappointed.

Engineer Laosun  then used the opportunity to celebrate and thank the traditional rulers, religious leaders, community leaders and well-meaning Nigerians from all walks of life for supporting his ambition to serve the people of the state during the last general elections while also praying for the continued peace in the state and the nation at large.
