Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship aspirant in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore on Tuesday asked a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  gubernatorial aspirant in the state, Senator Olasunkanmi Akinlabi to stop linking him to the crisis rocking the party (PDP).

Senator Omisore in a statement by his Media Team made available to newsmen lamented that it was unfortunate that the PDP governorship aspirant while featuring on a Rave 91.7FM  programme tagged “oro-oselu” on Monday ( 9th July, 2018.) could be  erroneously claiming that he  Senator Iyiola Omisore of taking PDP to court and that the case had been struck out and dismissed.

According to the statement, the response ” is obviously a lie from the pit of hell, very unfortunate”and meant ” to cause confusion on the personality of Sen. Iyiola Omisore.”.

“It is clearly imperative to draw the attention of the general public to the recent outcry of a PDP gubernatorial aspirant, Sen. Olasunkanmi Akinlabi Rasheed (SOAR) on popular radio programme tagged “oro-oselu” on Rave 91.7 FM dated Monday 9th July, 2018. Senator Akinlabi on air,  erroneously accused Senator. Iyiola Omisore of taking Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to court and that the case had been struck out and dismissed.”

The statement stressed that with the claim by Senator Akinlabi, it is clear that ” he is absolutely oblivious of the recent happenings and realities in the political landscape as it affects Osun state.” saying, “indeed,  he is either confused or intentionally wicked to malign the personality of Apesin of the Source.”

“For the avoidance of doubt, the record is as follows :That Senator Iyiola Omisore has since left PDP to Social Democratic Party (SDP) and he will never denigrate to such level of political confusion that PDP has found itself in recent times. That PDP’s aggrieved members took PDP to court as shown by the records of the court in public domain..That the case in contention has never been dismissed by the Abuja court but was adjourned to October 11, 2018 for further hearing.”.

The statement added, “That Sen.Akinlabi goofed in making such a statement to further confuse their blindfolded members and the unsuspecting general public. That the PDP members who are plaintiffs in the Ejigbo High Court case have duly appealed the judgement of the lower Court at the appellate Court sitting in Akure. That Sen.Akinlabi only succeeded in confusing the general public on present status of PDP’s travails in Osun state, which is presently in the intensive care unit.”.

“It is therefore expedient to sincerely appeal to Senator Akinlabi to immediately stop on attacking the personality of Senator Iyiola Omisore.. He should also, at all times, endeavour to investigate, ascertain and confirm status of events before going on air. This is because, it has become apparent that he is always out of tune about recent happenings in PDP and politics as it affects Osun State and its teeming populace.”
