Reverend Philip Omoniyi on Sunday called on Christians to desist from envying one another but rather trust in God and obey him while he makes a way for them.
Reverend Philip Omoniyi, said this during the Sunday service at Bethel Baptist Church, Kawo in Kaduna.
Omoniyi who spoke on God’s faithfulness as a rewarder of obedience, said, “your wealth or riches do not depend on what you are doing, it’s all about open heavens.”
Adding that “it is not whom you are or what you have achieved, rather the Grace of God upon your life that is keeping you to succeed.”
Speaking further, he said God had not called you into Christianity to struggle while citing the Scripture from Genesis 26:1-12 and Matt 2:33 that “seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and other things will be added unto you.
The clergyman noted that you don’t need to struggle but be good in all areas through obedience to God and what you need will look for you, he said.
Citing from Psalm 23:6, assuring them of “God goodness and mercy shall follow them all the days of their lives, if allow Christ to dwell in them, stressing that it is not their hard work alone but God’s working in them.
He emphasised that as a child of God, how much of obedience do you obey Him, adding that partial obedience amount to disobedience while urging them to obey the command God has given them.
He explained that Abraham listened to God instructions, he listened to his voice and kept God mandate, commands and His status, he stated that they should trust in God while he make a way.
Assuring them that a man that opens heaven, does not struggle, while calling on Christians to stop struggling but allow God to reign in their lives while God opens heaven to those who trust in him.
