Dogara Mourns Sultan Dasuki

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, has commiserated with the Muslim Ummah, Sultanate Council, government and people of Sokoto state over the death of Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media & Public Affairs, Turaki Hassan, Dogara, described the late Sultan as a patriot and man of peace.
“Sultan Dasuki was an epitome of peace and a bridge builder who lived a simple and austere life inspite of his wealth. He lived an examplary life worthy of emulation”.
Dogara described the passing away of Sultan Dasuki as a huge loss and stated further: “His contributions to the development of the country in the civil service and later in business and also as elderstatesman will remain indelible in our minds and history.
“Our heart goes to his immediate family, the Sultanate council, government and people of Sokoto state indeed the Muslim ummah over this irreparable loss”, he said
