The Yoruba community in the Northern states and Abuja has said that it received with shock the demise of the leader of Tijjaniya Islamic sect, Khalifa Ishaku Rabiu who dies in for away London on Tuesday.
Equally the community also commiserate with the people of Katsina State on the death of the Chief Imam of Katsina which was announced during the week.
The leader of the community, Ambassador Mohammed Arigbabowo on behalf of the entire people of Yoruba extraction in the Northern States and Abuja prayed to Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and Aljaana Fidarus.
He described the late Ishaku Rabiu as a pillar of Islam and a philanthropic who touched people’s life positively during his lifetime Ambassador Arigbabuwo urged other wealthy people to emulate the live and times of the two men who lived their lives to serve Allah and humanity.
“We also send our heartfelt condolence to both the governments, the emirate council and the people of Kano and Katsina States over the loss,” he said.
