Dawanau International Grains Market which was established  over 20 years ago has been maintaining it’s leadership position in the area of foodstuffs of all kinds from different parts of Nigeria.
The market which is situated at Dawanau  few kilometers from the city of Kano,  is blessed with all kinds of food and cash crops that are being exported to almost all African countries and across the world where business men and women buy the commodity either for exportation or  industrial uses.
Our correspondent who visited the market recently reports that people of all categories are always trooping into the market for bulk purchase different types of farm products while companies  were also seen busy buying their own materials for daily processing as usual.
Similarly, most of the food stuffs dealers that had a chat with New Nigerian said that Dawanau Market is one of the best places that every type of farm product is found since it’s existence over twenty years ago, adding that people from far away visit the market for bulk purchase of farm products for exportation without experiencing any obstacles.
Malam Sulaiman Umar a maize and beans dealer said that the leaders of the market under the chairmanship of  Alhaji Mustapha Yusuf Maikakwa deserve commendation for leading the market to a greater prospects, where millions of Naira transactions are being made on daily basis,  adding that the market is purely a commercial arena which needs the good attention of Kano state Government for upgrade.
