CSR: We Are Proud Of NB Plc, Kaduna Govt Says, After Massive Interventions In el-Rufai’s Pry School

In Kaduna, North West Nigeria, Kawo L.G.E.A Model Primary and Nursery School  that graduated Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai on Friday got 37 classrooms, a library, six conveniences, a bolehole and an overhead tank as part of  Nigerian Breweries  (NB) Plc’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to Kawo and environs.
Speaking at the commissioning, the representative of the Permanent Secretary of Education,  Mr.Andrew Dodo who is Deputy Director Health Services in the ministry, said ‘’ Kaduna State Government is proud of Nigerian Breweries as a leading company in terms of CSR, our doors are always open for partnership with every corporate organization in Kaduna’’
‘’Kaduna is blessed with so many corporate companies and you can imagine if everybody is doing what Nigerian Breweries is doing in Education. I therefore, call on all corporate  bodies to do same, the authority of this school must take as a point of duty to managed the facilities  for effective usage’’ Dodo stressed.
Earlier, the Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Mr. Johan Doyer represented  by Brewery Manager Kakuri  Mr. Abbey Ajayi said ‘’We are commissioning thirty seven newly renovated classrooms, six conveniences, a library and installed bore-hole with an overhead tank for LGEA Model Nursery and primary school.
“This project is undertaken by Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund. It is one of the many interventions executed in line with our philosophy of winning with Nigeria  and a demonstration of  our unwavering commitment  to the developmental aspiration  of the good people of Kaduna State’’
‘’The Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund was
established  in 1994 with a commencement capital of 100million  as a
vehicle to meet our aspiration  to play a more active role in the
development of Education in Nigeria. Since then we have impacted over 43000 students across the country, built about 400classrooms and about 35 equipped with furniture  and books in both primary and secondary schools across various  communities of the Country.’’ Doyer added
Commending Nigerian Breweries, the Head Master of LGEA Model Primary School Kawo, Mr. Idris Ibrahim revealed that the population of the school has doubled after the renovation of the school
‘’The population of this school has doubled as the school is now wearing a new look, the Nigerian Breweries have constructed desks, borehole with over head tank, a library with books and 37 classrooms, this has no doubt put a
new look on the school.
“This School has produced so many great men including the present Governor of Kaduna State Mallam Nasir Eyl-Rufai and was founded in 1953 with 21 head masters who have served the school from that time to date. This kind gesture by Nigerian Breweries is the first of its kind the pupils and teachers are ever grateful because before now, some pupils were sitting on the floor and we promise to take full charge of  these facilities’’
