Essiet said “fear God because we all live by the grace of God, adding that when one is lifted up he automatically becomes the target of the wicked and the devil”.
He prayed God to protect, guide as well  as to stop untimelyand premature death amongst
members of the House, noting that “the grace of God is our strength”.
Said he ” anyone that is in Christ is born to survive. Jesus is the answer. He is the only way and He seats at the right hand of God”.
He also prayed for the leaders in the country as well as in the state for God to fill them with enough wisdom to govern and rule.
Earlier, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo, on behalf of the legislators, promised that the legislators have vowed to improve on their spiritual upliftment.
He acknowledged the fact that “Jesus Christ”is the only way and saviour for man to follow.
