Court Adjourns Case Between C.O.P Vs Alhaji Bright To Jan

A case between Commissioner of Police and Alhaji Abubakar Iliyasu (Alhaji Bright) has been adjourned to 11th January 2018 for the continuation of  the defence hearing.

Alhaji Abubakar Iliyasu (Bright) is standing on criminal charges and theft before Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Chediya Road G.R.A., Zaria, Kaduna State.

The case was for the continuation of definite defence hearing, while a brother to Abubakar Iliyasu Bright in person of Idris Iliyasu appeared and gave his testimony in favour of his brother despite some contradictory statements on how his brother built and fenced his house.

The Chief Magistrate Court Chediya, G.R.A., Zaria has also adjourned a case between Commissioner of Police and Alhaji Yunusa Ali, Shuaibu Shugaban Samari and Alhaji Abubakar Iliyasu (Bright) who are standing trial on criminal conspiracy, trespass and theft to 11th  January, 2018 for the continuation of hearing.

Also the court ruled that one Aliyu a staff UBA Zaria main branch should appear before the court alongside with printed certified copy of transaction of the withdrawal of N3m on 11/5/2015.

The court ruling on the appearance of Aliyu is because of the pw3 Bello Sa’idu Balarabe of Mora Road Tudun Wada, Zaria who mentioned that on the 11/5/2015 when the N2.850 million was stolen in Abubakar’s car in front of his shop, he rushed to the Bank where the money was withdrawn and confirmed from Aliyu who said they just paid Yusuf Shaka N3m.
