Afraid of being charged with contempt of court and reversal of bail he is enjoying for failure to show up even though he was sick,  People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain Olisa Metuh arrived the Federal High Court in Abuja where is being tried for corruption  on a stretcher, after being taken down from  an ambulance.

The embattled former PDP  spokesman’s lawyer sought adjournment of the case   after pleading before the court presided by Justice Okon Abang  that his client is undergoing treatment at Nnamdi Azikwe Specialist Hospital  as he suffers spinal cord complications.
Metuh’s lawyers asked for a  long term adjournment after presenting the  hospital medical report on his client.
However, the presiding judge did not grant the application for long term   otherwise, he threatened to allow the   application made by the prosecution for the revocation of Metuh’s bail if the latter is not in court on Monday.
However, the judge adjourned the case till March 25th after seeing  Metuh’s on a stretcher on Monday.
Private security guards surrounded Metuh while on stretcher preventing press men from snapping him.
