Christians Rural And Urban Development Association Of Nigeria (CRUDAN), North West Zone, has trained 25 people on good governance and social accountability.
In a-3-day workshop held at the Catholic Social Centre, Madakiya in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, a consultant and a North-West Zonal Facilitator with CRUDAN, Mr James Obadiah, said the organisation intends toconscientiously create awareness on social accountability and monitoring of service delivery.
He urged the participants to engage government on it activities towards ensuring sustainable development.
The ideals and realities of Nigeria are not favourable to the downtrodden. So, the need to train vibrant youths and women on the change system is necessary for a functional and workable plan that will have a direct benefit to the people,” he said.
Obadiah said: Accountability and civic engagement is a major bane in our democracy. Centralised system of government has less impact on the common man.
“Participants are expected to initiates actions to hold public officials, politicians, and service providers accountable for their conduct.
