MEDICAID Centre Foundation an NGO in Kebbi State on Wednesday disrbused the sum of two million Naira to 10 affected persons with cancer diseases.
Coordinator of the Foundation, Dr Suraiya Mansur while disbursing the amount told journalists in Birnin Kebbi that the gesture is to curtail the suffering of the scourge by the affected persons.
”Our presentation is sequel to the world-wide celebrations of cancer day and went round the state and got 10 affected persons with the scourge and now assisted them with funds to solve their problems.’
“The disbursement ranges between 100, 150, 200 and 250 thousand Naira respectively to affected persons,” she added.
She called on the beneficiaries to use judiciously what they were given by the foundation, so that another set of affected persons will benefit.
Some of beneficiaries who spoke to journalists thanked the foundation for the gesture and assured of using the amount for the purpose given.
