Buhari Wins Zamfara, APC Clinches 2 Senate, 5 House Of Reps Seats

President Muhammad Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Saturday Presidential elections in Zamfara State, defeating the Peoples Democratic Party candidate and former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Announcing the result on Tuesday, the Zamfara State Returning Officer, Professor Kabir Bala of the Ahmadu Bello (ABU) Zaria, said  President Buhari got 438,682 votes while Atiku scored 125,423 votes.
The Zamfara State Presidential Returning Officer declared that the state has,
Total registered voters – 1,717,128.
Accredited voters – 616,168
Total valid votes –  578,437
Rejected votes –  18,785
Total votes cast – 597,222
Meanwhile, the APC has won two of the three Senatorial seats  and five House of Representatives seats so far declared.
Governor Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar was on Monday declared winner of the Zamfara West Senatorial seat to replace the incumbent Senator Ahmad Sani Yarima, who has served three terms.
