Buhari Resumes Duties, Writes National Assembly

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday resumed duties at the Presidential Villa, Abuja after his extended vacation in London.
A statement issued the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said the Presidency has transmitted a letter to the National Assembly in that regard.
The statement read: “In compliance with Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the President has formally transmitted letters to the Senate and the House of Representatives, intimating the National Assembly “that I have resumed my functions as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with effect from Monday, March 13, 2017, after my vacation.”
President Buhari had on January 19 embarked on a vacation in London and was due to come bck to Nigeria on February 5, 201zm
He however, failed to return as scheduled but instead sought an indefine extension of his holiday from the National Assembly.
In an address last Friday when he returned, he indicated that he would be going back for follow up soon.
