The Zamfara State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary rescheduled to hold on Monday has again been rescheduled for Tuesday.
Briefing journalists at the Zamfara State Police Command Headquarters, Gusau after meeting which lasted about six hours with the gubernatorial aspirants, the chairman of the Zamfara state APC Primary election, Dr Abubakar Fari said the rescheduling of the primary was to allow for the distribution of the election materials to all parts of the state.
Fari said to ensure transparency, all the eight aspirants agreed that the state Police Headquarters will be used for the collations of the results.
The meeting was attended by the governor Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar anointed aspirant, Mukthar Shehu Idris and the eight aggrieved aspirants which includes former governor, Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi, the deputy governor, Malam Ibrahim Wakalla Muhammad, others are Senator Kabiru Magaji Marafa, Dr Dauda Lawal Dare, Alhaji Abu Magaji, Alhaji Hamidu Sagir and a member of the House of Representatives, Sani Jaji.
