Breaking: Ajimobi Loses Oyo South Senatorial Seat To PDP Candidate, Kola Balogun

Governor Abiola Ajimobi who also doubled as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District on Monday lost the seat to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), candidate  Dr. Muhammed Kola Balogun .

The PDP candidate was declared winner of the Saturday’s National Assembly election  at the Agodi gate, headquarters of Ibadan North Local Government Area, which served as the collation centre for the district by Professor Wole Akinsola, a former Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Ibadan, declared the results Monday morning.

According to Professor Akinsola who is the INEC  returning officer for Oyo South Senatorial District,  the PDP candidate polled a total of 105,720 votes to defeat Governor  Ajimobi who secured 92,218.

The INEC Returning Officer. also announced that the incumbent Senator Soji Akanbi of the  ADC scored 49,437 while ADP candidate, Dr. Fola Akinosun scored  13,149 votes.
