Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai of Kaduna State has received Hafsah Suleiman Dauda, as part of his gesture to fight for better education for deaf-blind people in the state.
The governor received her at the Government House in Kaduna.
Hafsah is visually impaired but was able to study Law at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, and was recently called to the Nigerian Bar Association.
Governor el-Rufai, commended her commitment to education while he pledged to give her all the necessary support to enable her achieve her goals.
Hafsah Dauda, a blind woman who has gone through the rigours of studying law was appreciated by the governor for her commitment despite her disadvantages, she availed herself to knowledge.
Hafsah, was not born blind, but got blind by accident at a very tender age and now a barrister.
Her call into the Nigerian Bar Association will give her a sense of belonging.
Her expectations is to create awareness giving to people with disabilities to make use of their God given talent and utilise it for the progress of the society, state and the country at large.
