In recognition of his efforts towards creating job opportunities among Nigerians through e-Banking and alleviation of poverty especially among orphans particularly in the Northern parts of Nigeria, Unity Bank has honoured the Chairman/ CEO of a northern leading mobile money agency, Bizi Mobile Cashless Consultant limited, Alhaji Aminu Aminu Bizi with an award of excellence.
Announcing the Award during the launching of a partnership between the bank and the firm, held at Gumel Local Government Area of Jigawa
State, Mr. Funwa Akinwande, the bank’s
Director of Transaction said, they decided to partner with the firm, considering the fact that Bizi Mobile has become a role model in terms of cashless business in the country.
“Bizi Mobile has significantly eased transaction through e-Banking especially among people at the rural areas in the country.” Funwasaid.
According to him, “We are also partnering Bizi to assist us on behalf of the bank to reach all the nooks and crannies of the northern part, especially people that are into small and medium enterprises,” he explained.
Funwa announced that “from today Bizi Cashless is our agent in terms of e- Banking”.
On the award, he said, Bizi Mobile has been chosen because it is ahead of its counterparts in e-Banking and its activities have reached almost
all the nooks and crannies of this country in terms of cashless transactions as well as in ensuring that cashless policy stpand in Nigeria.
In his remarks at the occasion, His Highness the Emir of Gumel, Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Sani CON, represented by the Magajin Garin Gumel, Alhaji Sani Ibrahim lauded the bank for choosing Gumel Local Government Area for the event which he noted would go a long way in providing job opportunities for the youth in the north in particular and the country as a whole.
The Emir then commended Alh. Aminu Bizi for empowering many northern youth, especially the orphans by employing them as Bank agents, describing it as a giant stride.
Responding, while thanking the bank for the award, Alh Aminu Bizi said, the partnership would ease more burden on bank users from going to their
various banks to withdraw money where they usually meet long queues, saying that “All you need to do is to register with us which is free.”
