Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has urged Muslim faithful to cultivate the culture of supporting the needy, be sober and also do things with moderation during the period of the Holy month of Ramadan.
In a press statement by the commissioner for information, youth and culture, Malam Muhammad Garba, the Governor charged Muslims in the country to observe the fasting with best practices
The Governor noted that extending hands of support in any form to fellow Muslims is noble deed rewarded by Allah in many folds.
While congratulating the Muslim faithful on the commencement of the Ramadan the governor urges religious tolerance and mutual respect among people of different beliefs..
Ganduje also used the occasion to call on the people on the need to clear water ways as the rainy season set in to avoid flooding.
He enlisted the support of the people for the government in its continued efforts to better their lots and particularly in this period of economic and political rejuvenation.
