While stressing  that the time has come for serving Social Workers to understand the ethics of the profession and deliver their duties, the Acting Permanent Secretary lauded the veteran Social Workers for their selfless service to the profession, state and the country in general urged

“Having said that, I would like to implore the serving Social Workers to understand the ethics of thei profession and deliver their duties passionately as expected in order to keep the flag flying. And note that, sometimes soon, your hard work will also be celebrated just like we are doing today for our veterans.” She said.

“Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASOW) is quite spectacular in that, it attracts the largest membership base in Nigeria. This is because Social Work is an established professional discpline which works with other professions to play a key role in helping children, adults and families to take control of and improve their lives in conditions where their security, safety or ability to participate in civil life are restricted”.

Speaking. Oyo state NASOW  Chairman, Barrister Tayo Ayoade earlier in his welcome address informed that the aim of the veterans day was to appreciate those who have contributed for the growth of the association and encourage others.
