Thousands of representatives of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore (MAKH) across Bauchi State Wednesday converged on the state capital where they endorsed and declared their support for President Muhammad Buhari’s 2019 re-election.
Representatives of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a socio cultural association of Fulani cattle breeders that comprised of 1, 490 Ardos from nooks and crannies of the Bauchi statye similarly extended their endorsement and support to Governor, Mohammed Abubakar for a second term in office come 2019 elections.
Accepting his endorsement at a crowded reception held at Zaranda Hotel, Bauchi Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar said, “Those who are causing trouble in the country are those who not want a Fulani man to rule Nigeria”.
He told the unprecedented crowd that a research sponsored by Bauchi state government is ongoing by a Chinese firm on a special specie of grass that can grow anywhere even in deserts on which the Fulani cows can graze.
Governor Mohammed Abubakar disclosed that the Bauchi state government has also resolved to build earth dams and boreholes for the Fulani cattle breeders to water their cows and for domestic purposes.
Refuted the claims by some unscrupulous persons in the state that he is not of Fulani lineage, Abubakar traced his maternal history to the fulanis in Jahun of Jigawa state, Nabayi and Beni in Bauchi state, and Akko in Gombe state, urging his fulani kinsmen not to be misled by anybody but to consider him as ONE of them.
The Governor who attended the Fulani meeting without his typical Fulani deputy governor, Engr. Nuhu Gidado, noted that “It is God that crowns a king and it is God that dethrones a king”.
He debunked challenges against some policies and programmes of the Buhari administration by those he described as agents of retrogression and destabilization, saying President Buhari is the best leader the country ever had.
Also speaking, the patron of Bauchi chapter of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, (MAKH), Hon. Bappa Aliyu, Sarkin Yamman Misau said, “Our association’s endorsement of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Mohammed Abubakar based on their good performances in office”.
Hon. Bappa Aliyu condemned in totality the allegations being leveled against the Fulani cattle breeders in the crisis that swamped some states in the federation attributed it all to the country’s leadership of a Fulbe man.
“The fact that we can now enter our worship places of Mosques and Churches being bodily combed by any security trap is a testimony of security of lives and property which President Buhari assured Nigerians during his electioneering campaigns and an unprecedented achievement ever by any leader”, Aliyu said.
The Sarkin Yamma, also the chairman of Bauchi Fertilizer Blending Company recalled that Governor Abubakar who inherited a debt of over N15 billion when he assumed office in 2015 has since vanquished the liabilities, as the state government is owing any civil servant a single kobo salary wise
Aliyu therefore implored upon Governor Abubakar to ensure the successful exploration of oil in Bauchi being vigorously dogged by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) to launch Bauchi into the association of oil producing states in the country.
Bauchi state chairman of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Hon. Garba Saleh said, “President Buhari has brought progress and peace in Nigeria and this is one of the reasons we are endorsing him to contest for the second time in office”.
A letter of endorsement was given to Governor Mohammed Abubakar for onward delivery to President Buhari while another was given to him for same purpose.
