The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade, will address the 2017 World NTDs Summit in Geneva, Switzerland slated for April 18-22.
In recognition of the state government’s commitment to curb the scourge, Ayade said he will ensure that NTDs is eradicated in Cross River by 2020.
The 2017 conference will mark the fifth anniversary of the World Health Organization’s Roadmap on NTDs and the London Declaration on NTDs – a landmark commitment to control, eliminate or eradicate 10 NTDs by the end of the decade.
The Summit which is expected to commence from 18-22 April 2017, will have leaders from around the world convene in Geneva, Switzerland, to pledge new commitments to the collective efforts to combat eliminate neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).
