Authorities Refute Report Of Osinbajo, Fayemi Convoy Hitting Policeman

Contrary to report on the social media, the Ekiti State Police Command  has refuted claims that the convoys of the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbjo and that of the All Progressive Candidate, Dr Kayode Fayemi knocked down a police officer.
The Command Public Relation Officer, DSP. Caleb Nwachukwu, while refuting the report disclosed that the said policeman  and another pedestrain were knocked down by  a Toyota Sienna Van with registration number: Lagos X2874  on Bashiru road on the said date.
In a release made available to journalists, the command stated that “two pedestrians were knocked down on Bashiri road just before the newly constructed over head bridge. a Toyota Sienna Van with registration number: Lagos X2874  on Bashiru road on the said date
Those affected in the accident were one Anayomi Ismailia and a yet to be identified police officer”.
He said the convoy of the Vice President and Fayemi came in through the Ikere axis of the State capital around 12 noon, while the incident in question happened around 9am.
It will be recalled that some social media platforms had reported that the convoys of the Vice President and the APC gubernatorial candidate had knocked down a policeman during the visit of the vice President for the flag off of the party’s campaign rally.
