Atiku’s Firm, West Africa Health Signs Pact With Foreign Partners To Establish 100-bed Hospital

Former Vice President of Nigeria,Alhaji  Atiku Abubakar  and his firm, West Africa Health-Care Company Ltd have begun a partnership with the management of Saudi-German Hospital, Dubai to establish a referral centre and a 100-bed hospital in Abuja.

The joint venture project will reduce the intensity of medical tourism by Nigerians and provide safe and quality healthcare in Nigeria, Abubakar said.

He disclosed this after a meeting with the management of Saudi-German Hospital led by Dr. Rajeev Kaushal.

Describing the meeting as fruitful, the ex-Vice President of Nigeria said:  “The joint venture that we have embarked upon promises to break
new grounds in medical services delivery in Nigeria.”

Apart from creating medical and support services jobs, Abubakar pointed out that the venture will also facilitate the transfer of skills to Nigerians.

Abubakar, according to a report, employs over 50,000 people through direct labour and over 250,000 indirect labour through his businesses.

He is said to be the second largest employer of labour in Adamawa State after the state government.
