A drama played out at Obot Akara ward 3 unit 11 when wife of the APC ward Chairman, Mr Aloysius openly voted for the PDP and the aggrieved husband immediately snatched the ballot paper and tore it to pieces.
He followed up his irate act with the threat that the wife must leave his house as soon as she gets back.
The wife, a civil servant with so much disdain on her face, publicly snubbed the husband and walked away from the scene.
Meanwhile, Governor Udom Emmanuel, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate and wife, Martha exercised their civic duties at their polling unit in, Onna local government area of the state.
Speaking with newsmen, Governor Emmanuel commended INEC for improvement in the elections process aimed at ensuring peaceful and credible elections in the state.
His All Progressives Congress (APC) opposition, Obong Nsima Ekere and wife, Eze voted at their unit in Ikot Oborenyin, Edemeya, in Ikot Abasi local government area.
Ekere hailed the peaceful conduct of governorship/houses of assembly elections in the unit, saying that it was more orderly compared to presidential/national assembly elections.
Both of them won gallantly in their respective unit but expressed worried over pockets of electoral violence noticed in few areas of the state. They called on security agents to deal with those concerned in line with the provisions of the law in order to serve as a deterrent to others.
