The Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party (ANRP), Cross River State chapter, has elected a six-man executive to pilot its affairs in the state in the next four years.
The epock-making event took place at its state congress which was held at the municipality garden weekend.
Conducting the election, the national officer, Mr. Ifeanyi Iwueze, said all the aspirants met the electoral requirements during their screening and were qualified to vote and to be voted for.
The newly elected officers are, Mr. Brownian Ubom, state chairman, Okon Henry Okonkwo, deputy treasurer, Anne Ubong. Treasurer, Innocent Okoi, finally. Secretary, Victor Effiong, Inter Control/party discipline and Venatius Onen, publicity/organising secretary.
Speaking on behalf of the new Exco, Ubom described the party as a child of necessity.
He said the party was founded on three principles, respect, renewal and renaissance
Ubom assured that the Exco will live up to expectations and appealed to members to support the newly elected Exco.
Earlier, the electoral officer (ANEP) , Mr. Ifeanyi Iwueze, described the as the only hope for Nigeria.
According to him, “it is only the youths that can salvage the huge mess in this country “.
The staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) supervised the election that ushered in the new ANRP state executives.
