AITEO Eastern donates N30 million Relief Materials to IDPs in Adamawa State

A Non Governmental Organisation AITEO E&P limited has donated relief material worth over N30 million to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as part of corporate social responsibility of the company.
The Executive Vice Chairman of the company Mr. Benedict, while delivering the items to the state government said intervention  in situation in the North-East region devastated by insurgency living people  in abject poverty and the entire effort cannot be left to government alone.
The Chairman who was represented by Barrister Hadiza Aliyu maintained that he has always been concerned about the situation of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the North-East and he believes this gesture will go a long way to cushion the unbearable effect of the hardship caused by the insurgency.
The Adamawa state Governor Senator Muhammdu Umaru Jibrilla commended the efforts of AITEO EASTERN for the gesture and called on other organizations to emulate their gesture.
He called on individuals and corporate bodies to intervene in the humanitarian situation in the North-East saying a lot need to be done in provision of relief material to IDPs in the region
The state Executive Secretary, Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) Mal. Haruna Furo said, in the last one year, the state emergency agency has not received donations from corporate organizations as huge as the one donated by AITEO pointing out that the items would go a long way in touching the lives of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state
Items donated include, 300 bags of 50 kilograms of rice, 150 cartons of turkey oil, 5 bales of wrappers, 5 bales of materials for men, 200 bags of sugar, 1000 pieces of treated mosquito nets, 100 pieces of matrasses, 100 bags of washing detergents, 100 cartons each of both washing and bathing soaps, cartons of Vaseline, 100 cartons each of spaghetti and macaroni, 100 cartons of sanitary towels, 200 bags of salt, 150 cartons of pampers and 1000 exercise books.
