Aisha Buhari donates items to Agatu IDPs

Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari on Wednesday visited Makurdi, the capital of Benue State to donate food items to the Agatu Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) recently displaced by rampaging Fulani herdsmen.
The donation was done on her behalf by wife of the Vice President, Dolapo Osinbajo who told those present that Benue is one of the children of Aisha Buhari.
She explained that the crisis had a devastating effect on the affected communities.
In his remarks, Governor Samuel Ortom appreciated the efforts of the President and his Vice, appealing for lasting solution to the precarious situation in Agatu.
He insisted that the attackers are not the normal and local Fulani herdsmen who lives with them. “No land for Fulani in Benue, Fulani must leave Benue for peace to reign, except if Nigeria wants scarcity of food since Benue is known as food basket of the nation and Benue People are predominantly farmers” Ortom emphasized.
While in Markurdi, she visited the Agatu IDPs camp at NOGOA Secondary School, Adikpo Street, Wadata Makurdi.
Benue State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA)  boss Ortese, on her behalf announced that the items donated by the wife of Vice President are 200 bags of rice, 100 cartons of tomatoes, 50 bags of Gari, 40 cartons of vitamin, 20 jerrycans of cooking oil, and 14 sachets of milk.
