Head coach of the Libyan national senior football team, Adel Amrouche has reportedly resigned his position with the country’s football governing body.

This comes four days to their 2019 AFCON clash with the Super Eagles of Nigeria which isexpected to be played at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo..

The inability of the Libyan Football Federation chiefs to pay Amrouche’s six months salaries masterminded his decision toleave.

Libya are currently topping Group E in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers with 4 points after two games played, and they need to avoid a defeat against Nigeria on Saturday for them to have a chance.

Meanwhile, Libya are currently training in Tunisia, and Omar Al-Miryami is now expected to lead the team to Nigeria for their clash against the Super Eagles on Saturday.
