ADSG Sacks Revenue Board Chairman

 The Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla led administration has f relieved Mr. Ahmad Idris Tuta, of his position as the Executive Chairman Board of Internal Revenue in the state.

 Commissioner of Information and Strategy,Comrade Ahmad Sajoh who  made the announcement in Yola weekend after a special state Executive Council meeting maintained that the decision was as a result of adoption of the white paper report recommended by a committee on repositioning the board for fruitful reason in generating revenue to the state.

It could be recalled that the sacked chairman has some times last year challenged the legislature for not paying their taxes as required by the laws in the state when he was making clarifications on the finances of internally generated revenue,IGR at the Assembly’s floor.

A development that didn’t go down well with the Lawmakers which resulted to a passage of a resolution demanding for his removal by the Governor.

Sajoh said that other measures to be taken included the review of the state revenue laws for it to be in line with current realities.
He  said the meeting also finalized everything about the 2017 budget expected to be presented on Monday before the state Assembly by the Governor.
Also speaking, the state Attorney General and  Commissioner of Justice, Mr Silas Sanga who is the chairman of the Committee on Revenue said that the council has also mandated the committee look into other state revenue generating outfits and make recommendation for their repositioning.
Also the Commissioner of Solid Minerals, Mrs Victoria Sashi, said the meeting also concluded and signed agreement for Guyuk Cement Factory with Smart Group of companies

 Sashi assured the people of the state that all things being equal many unemployed youths will be engage the moment the factory resume operations in the near future.
