The Federal Government has donated assorted drugs worth N42 million naira to Adamawa government for victims of recent crisis that rocked the state.
Mr Abani Imam, Head of Operation in charge of Adamawa and Taraba of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) presented the items on behalf of the FG on Wednesday in Yola.
“On behalf of the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, NEMA is presenting a total of 83 different assorted drugs worth N 42 million naira to Adamawa Government.
“The intervention is meant for the victims of the recent crisis and other related conflicts across the state” He stated
Imam maintained that the donation was part of federal government intervention to compliment states’ government effort toward treatment of victims of the crisis.
Responding, Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Mr Martins Babale, thanked the federal government for the kind gesture.
Babale describe that the donation is timely, according to him, the state government is going through hard times in handling thousands of Internally Displaced Persons as a result of the attacks.
