Four teenage suspected kidnappers, others in Police net …two kidnapped teen girls rescued

Operatives of the Anti-kidnaping Unit of the Bauchi State Police Command have last week following intelligence report, arrested suspected kidnaping syndicates terrorizing Ningi and Ganjuwa axis of the state.
Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed gave the names of the arrested suspects as Buba sani, alias Nyako, 19 years; Adamu Muhammadu, 19 years; Umar Adamu Shanono, 20 years; and Adamu Abdullahi, 18 years.
Others are Muhammadu Oche, alias Chidawa 45; Muhammadu Bello, 37 years, all of Zuu village in Ganjuwa Local government Area of the state.
A statement signed by DSP Haruna Mohammed said that the suspects confessed to have kidnapped one Buba Saidu of Zuu village, collected N53, 000 and demanded for N200, 000 from one Adamu Babayo of the same address before their arrest.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects, according to the PPRO, include two fabricated wooden rifles. He said the case is under investigation after which the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
In a related development, the Command successfully rescued one Jamila Babaji, 16 years and Janda Babaji, 18 years, all female who were kidnapped in Bunja Ward of Dass Local Government Area two weeks ago. All cases are under investigations and efforts are geared to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
Meanwhile, detectives attached to Soro Police Division in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi state last Sunday arrested one Salmanu Idris, 30 years of Kofar Gombe in Bauchi metropolis.
The suspect was said to have kidnapped one Tijjani Idris, male, 5 years of Kanfanin Fulani village of Soro in Ganjuwa LGA of Bauchi State. He was arrested in Dabe Town along Bauchi-Maiduguri Road.
PPRO Mohammed said in a statement that the victim was rescued and handed over to his parent in good health and explained that the case is under investigation.
