A businessman and the youngest gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, Nasiru Saleh Mohammed has, said the developmental projects of the incumbent Governor of Yobe State, Ibrahim Gaidam is the reason behind his motivation to join the race.
He disclosed this on Thursday in Damaturu, the state capital immediately after the “Not Too Young to Run” youth match organized by a Non-Governmental Organization NAYEF.
The aspirant who hails from Gashua in Yobe State and also the leader of Bra-Bra Volunteer Group, said a lot has been achieved by Governor Gaidam in health, education, agriculture, youth development among others which needs a young talented person that will keep the ball rolling.
“What Governor Gaidam did in this state is extremely wonderful. Had it been his predecessor did what he has done, Yobe would have become small London”
On whether he can win primaries of the party he, said “I am confident of what I am doing. I have the blessings of the stakeholders and youth support, so what I set before me will come to accomplishment,” he said.
Speaking on the not too young to run, the aspirant, said if elected as the governor, he will always encourage youth participation in politics by buying nomination forms for interested youth in the state, apart from empowerment programmes in order to carry them along.
