2019: SDP Guber Candidate Promises Restoration Of Good Governance In Cross River State

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) gubernatorial candidate  and a former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Cross River State, Mr. Eyo Ekpo, has promised restoration of good governance if elected  governor  of the state in 2019 general elections.
Ekpo stated this in Calabar during a media parley with the Online Media Practitioners association at the party’s secretariat.
Acoording to him, “I promise to bring back to Cross River State that one thing that we always had that is good governance, and retell the good story of Cross River State which has gone extinct within a period of three years”.
Said he, “I  believe that the state can be salvaged from it’s present economic woes through a well  acticulated and well  planned blueprint of the Social Democratic party in the state”.
He regretted that the state has dropped the first sixth fast developing states in the federation to zero position since the emergence of this present administration.
Ekpo promised that his administration’s concern is to serve with Integrity, competence, transparency and dedication for what ever length of time he is privileged to serve the state”
He maintained that “I have seen myself as a person who has been prepared over time to put myself in service of the state as well as in so better position to restore its lost glory and economic fortune”.
In answer to another question, he said “in order for me to manage the state well, I will look at the stock of debt been held by the state, work out how to manage it and sort it out”.
Ekpo said that in other  to move the state from its economic crisis, ” my administration will invest in the private sector driven strategy and not to depend solely on federal monthly allocations,”.
He called on Cross Riveruans not to waste their vote but think wisely before casting their votes come 2019 general elections.
