African Democratic Party (ADC) gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin on Wednesday declared that their is no going back in the determination of opposition political parties in sending the ruling All  Progressives Congress (APC) government in Oyo state packing in 2019.

Senator Lanlehin who said this  while addressing a press conference  in Ibadan also alleged that a stakeholder in the February governorship election in the state  is presently recruiting suspected members of the National Union of Road Transport Union (NURTW) to allegedly truncate the 2019 general elections in Oyo state.

The ADC governorship candidate stressed that the said stakeholder and his backers are making series of  moves towards  manipulating their ways during the general elections.but that no matter their antics, ADC will win the February, 2019 governorship election in the state as the party remains the only political party to beat in Oyo state come 2019 general elections.

Senator Lanlehin pointed out that the struggle to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (ADC), and defeat its candidate, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu in the next general elections by the ADC in the state is still intact.

According to the ADC governorship candidate, there is no doubt that the Governor Ajimobi’s tenure ends on May 29, 2019 but that anyone who want to continue with his “legacy” will not be accepted by the people to the state.

“The struggle to unseat this government is certain. That is the government that must be sent out. And by the grace of God, it will be achieved. The government of Ajimobi ends on 29th May 2019, and anyone who want to continue with his “legacy” will not be accepted by the people of the state. Like I said, all the projects are contracted,” he said.

Senator Lanlehin added, “all our industries must be revived. Every two weeks they go and attract investors, and tell me how many of them have you seen. We are going to take over the government of Oyo state. I can assure you that when I become governor, I still have my legs and head with the people. You must not leave your people, the legacy is what we needed. I know how painful it is when I see people without jobs for years. And when I was in Senate, I opened file of CVs, we are going to revive the agricultural sector.”

“We are going to bring back trade schools, if you are a degree holder, we will find you jobs but you must contribute  the society. We are going to restore our education sector as far as the constitution allow us to do”.

On Senator Rashidi Ladoja, the ADC governorship candidate said despite  that the former governor of the state has dumped ADC for  Zenith Labour Party, he “remains his leader, father and someone whom he owed in high esteem.”

“Governor Ladoja today remains my leader, he remains my father and leader and a person I have a lot of respect for. We were together in the NADECO. He was in the Senate whole I was in the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency. But for one thing or the other, he is no more in ADC. “

Senator Lanlehin emphasized  that he was confident that with the support of other political bigwigs, the ADC remains the party to beat as far as the 2019 general elections will be concerned, saying, ” we have the likes of other political bigwigs in the state who are in our party.”.

” They are going to lead our campaign. One of them is a former secretary to the stays government, Chief Michael Koleoso, another former SSG, Chief Olayiwola Olakojo and another former SSG, Dr. Busari Adebisi”.

At the conference were candidate of the party for Ibadan North West/ Ibadan South West in the House of Representatives Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, Hon. Olusegun Olaleye, Hon. Remi Sodiq, Hon. Abeeb Balogun, Hon. Lasun Adebunmi.

Lanlehin who represented Oyo South District in the National Assembly between 2011 and 2015 while addressing the journalists, said
