2019: Kebbi Columnist Joins National Assembly Race

A reknowned columnist in the national dailies, Abu Najakku has expressed his interest to contest as House of Representatives member, representing Birnin Kebbi/Kalgo /Bunza constituency at the National Assembly under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), come 2019.
Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday in Birnin Kebbi, Najakku who is an indigene of Kebbi State said the idea was borne out of the desire to reach and protect people at the grassroots.
 ” I decided to contest this post so that i can reach people in the grassroots particularly those in the far rural areas where there was serious of encouragement”.
 “I want if I win, to plant trees from my towns and villages up to the countries bordering my constituency to block the influx of encroachment.” he added.
 According to him, the present administration of President Buhari and Governor, Abubakar Bagudu has brought many changes in the society in terms of rural and economic developments.
 He called on APC members to remain calm and conduct themselves on the on-going congresses.
He noted that if elected, Birnin Kebbi /Kalgo and Bunza would be fully represented since according to him, it is a place a member can express his opinion associated with problems of his/her constituency.
