Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has said that President Muhammadu Buhari would get over five million votes from Kano in the 2019 general elections because the state is still in support of him politically.
He disclosed this in his speech at the swearing-in and inauguration ceremony of the newly elected local government chairmen after declaring the results of Saturday’s council polls by the state electoral commission, where he announced that from the overall results APC has more votes than what it obtained during the 2015 general elections.
Governor Ganduje said that the All Progressives Congress is now stronger than any political party in the country, and Buhari is doing well since he assumed office as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The governor then told the local councils chairmen that the state government will give them all the necessary support and resources that would enable them to work for the general development of their local government areas, and warned them against mismanagemant of the public funds that would be entrusted to them.
