2019: Former NPA Boss Declares Intention For Adamawa Central Senatorial Seat

Former Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Engr Omar Suleiman has declared his intention to contest the state’s central senatorial position under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 
Suleiman who was at the party’s secretariat  with thousands of his supporters said he sees APC as a reliable platform that he can realise his political ambition.
”After series of  consultation with relevant stakeholders in the State, I’m here today before you our party’s leaders to formally inform you that I have the intention to run for the Adamawa Central senatorial district in the forthcoming 2019 general elections”. He stated.
Suleiman maintained that he has been a party loyalist and ardent supporter of the party in and outside the state, and is convinced that APC  is no doubt  an answered prayer to the Nigerian people.
”Our party is a party of justice and fairness, this virtues has gingered me to decide for this noble course to work for my people who persuaded me to aspire the senatorial seat of Adamawa central by the permission of God Almighty”, he stated further.
The former NPA boss reiterated that the administration of the state under the able leadership of Sen Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow is no doubt doing well in delivering the dividends of democracy and he deserve all the encouragement to do more in changing the state’s narratives of underdevelopment.
Suleiman and his supporters were received by the APC state chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal with other officials.
 The party Chairman thank the entire supporters of the aspirant and assured them of party fairness.
Bilal reiterated that all aspirants will be treated equally as they are parents to all party members.
He advised that aspirant should avoid politics of bitterness and rancour as it can only heat up the polity.
