The Special Adviser Zone III to Commissioner for Stake-holders in Kaduna state, Honorable John Abonet has began consultations with different groups in Southern Kaduna with the sole aim of sensitizing the populace on the activities of Nasir el-Rufai’s policies.
Addressing a group of journalists in Kafanchan recently, he disclosed; “My office will be relocated from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House to Southern Kaduna where we’ll begin to engage stake-holders, Women/Youths on the need to understand the policies of Nasir el-Rufai’s administration which meant well to our people.
“I am here to engage my people about Government’s policies which are being misunderstood, some of the groups understand while some do not, but we’ll continue to engage them. Most of them complained about lack of access to information concerning government activities,” John said.
According to him; “Relocating my office back to Kafanchan will enable me explain the good policies of government to the people. We understand that some of the policies are not for immediate gains but for our future generations, we pray we’ll understand each other.
“We find it necessary to move out of Government House in order to engage the people seriously. One of the issues that draws controversies is the sacking of Primary teachers which this Government has agreed to address, most Governors want to sanitize the system but they don’t have the political will to do it.
“So many things are wrong in virtually all the system. It is our duty to sanitize it for the benefit of our future generations yet on born. We understand the plight of the masses but we cannot continue like this. I believe the Government of Mallam Nasir el-Rufai will look for an alternative means of easing the predicaments of the sacked workers.
Speaking briefly after meeting some of the groups, some members appealed to Honorable Abonet to communicate to his boss el-Rufai, to operate an all inclusive government that will be in tandem with the yearning of the people.
“The Governor must work hard toward reuniting the warring members of the party with a view of moving the party forward and ensuring victory in 2019.
“Bridges must be built to cement all differences that tend to collapse our state. Security challenges in our region must be addressed with all sincerity from the government. We have suffered a lot of bloodshed in our land. Your visit is welcome, we feel government presence in our midst with high hope that things will get better,”  he concluded.
