2019: Almakura Reiterates Commitment To Credible, Free, Fair Process

Governor Tanko Almakura has reassured all aspirants in Nasarawa State of a level playing ground as the bell is ringing towards the party primaries that would produce the candidates that would fly the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearers in the 2019 elections, assuring them of a credible, free and fair process.

Governor  Almakura disclosed this when he received a condolence visit from Honourable Aliyu Wadada, who was at the Government House Lafia with his campaign team to console the Government over the recent gas explosion tragedy that led to loss of lives and properties.

The Governor stated that what happened as a result of the gas explosion had jolted every one and not only the number of casualties but the touching and troubling issue is the pain and agony the people were going through with more than 60% of their bodies burned.

Governor explained that some of the critical victims would be flown out as soon as they are stabilized, to receive treatment that would provide needed relief and care in a Hospital in South Africa.

He commended the way and manner Hon. Wadada was steering his campaign, describing him as a very respected politician in Nasarawa State, who has showcased his experience and maturity, which is expected of people who brought themselves to lead people.

He commended the maturity Honourable Wadada has shown despite the instigation and allegation that were thrown up to mar the beauty of his campaign, urging him to continue to as he was doing as power belongs to God , Stating that weather some people like it or not it has already been ordained by the Almighty who would lead Nasrawa state.

He call on the aspirants to bring to his attention any observation or complaints that would hamper the credibility of the exercise, so that it could be rectified, stating that they were trying to do their best to leave a legacy of integrity, honesty and fairness to all.

Speaking earlier, Honourable Aliyu Wadada stated that they were there to commiserate with the government and people of the state over the tragedy that happened as a result of the gas explosion in Lafia that led to loss of lives, properties and left may citizens burned .

Wadada prayed that God grant the lives lost eternal rest and heal those that are affected in any way by the incident.

He stated that beyond all other achievement of Governor Almakura , the Governor had achieved something that is very key and fundamental which he said was encouraging peaceful coexistence.

He said the Governor is blessed that was why Nasarawa state has had peace, which he said should not be distracted by any responsible citizen of Nasarawa State .

He explained that he called on his supporters that in their quest to get to where the Governor is today they must be peaceful , obedient and respective as it was God alone that gives, even it is channeled through human beings .
