The House of Representatives has indicated that all things being in order, it would pass the 2018 Appropriation Bill next week.

Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas who disclosed this yesterday, noted that report of the Appropriation Committee of the House will be laid on Tuesday, while it would be subsequently considered as passed within the week.

The budget of N8.612 trillion as laid by President Muhammadu Buhari on November 7, 2017 has been delayed due to non- cooperative attitudes of government Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs), in appearing to defend their respective estimates.

Namdas also explained while fielding questions that the resolution of the House, to suspend plenary for three days in protest of the incessant killings across the country had been rested, but put on hold because of the budget, which needed urgent attention.

According to him, the lives of all Nigerians are important to the House, irrespective of the number involved, adding that the resolution would be effected as soon as they are done with the budget.
