Plateau State College of Health Technology, Pankshin has now an Acting Provost as the Provost, Dr Jonathan Daboer, completed his tenure and handed over.
The Acting Provost is Mr Pam Dagyang, who until his new status, was the Deputy Provost of the college.
Our Correspondent who witnessed the handing over ceremony held in the office of the provost, said Daboer thanked all the management and members of staff for their support to him all through his tenure.
“I am leaving this college a fulfilled man, having served at the best of my ability and looking at the little things done that I could proudly say are my achievements.
“It’s during my tenure that more four courses of the college were accredited with one still awaited besides provision of facilities such as laboratories, lecture halls, vehicles, a shuttle bus among others, ’’ he said.
Daboer said that his greatest challenge was the acquisition of a permanent site for the college as well as the difficulties involved at getting funds with which to run the college.
According to him, the delistment of the environment department was one challenge that he tried to restore to no avail.
The out gone provost, while congratulating the acting provost at his new status and position, he wished him God’s guidance for him to succeed in running the affairs of the college well.
He told the acting provost that there are some funds with the state government meant for the college, which he has to vigorously pursue for the growth and development of the college.
Responding, Dagyang commended the outgone provost for his style of leadership, which ended him the successes achieved so far.
While wishing him success in his future endeavours, the acting provost said that he would always call on him for assistance and guidance when the need arises.
